Great Game of Government w Cindy Stein Pt 01

Before we get started, I want to remind you of the drawing we’re having this week. (Of course many of you will be listening to this after the fact, sorry, it’s both the magic and curse of podcasting.) Anyway,  James Lehman, my previous guest offered up an opportunity for one listener to take a free Energy Leadership Index Assessment and phone evaluation with James after he receives the results. I found out it has a value of $419. I am still accepting entries until midnight March 5th. Go to inspiredandintentional.com/energy to register for the drawing.

Cindy Stein is the Greene County Auditor running the Great Game of Business in Government
Cindy Stein – Greene County Auditor

I’m excited to begin a new 3 part series with Cindy Stein.

Cindy S. Stein, Certified Public Accountant and a graduate from Missouri State University.

Cindy began her career with a local public accounting firm and remained there until her election to Greene County Auditor in 1994.

We’ll be talking with Cindy today about how the Great Game of Business is being implemented in the Greene County Government. Greene County is in Southwest Missouri, the largest town being Springfield. Many of you have heard of Branson, it’s just North of them.

Tweetables – “It’s about the employees and the foundation they have developed and the culture they help foster.”

“We’re not questioning the person. We’re questioning the number.”

Questions for part 1 with Cindy Stein.

  1. What area of your government could use a dose of open-book management?
  2. Could you implement open-book management before a crisis arises?
  3. It’s about the employees and the culture they help foster. Is this true for your government?

Remember, James Lehman, my previous guest offered up an opportunity for one listener to take a free Energy Leadership Index Assessment and phone evaluation with James after he receives the results. I found out it has a value of $419. I am still accepting entries until midnight March 5th. Go to inspiredandintentional.com/energy to register for the drawing.

I’ve been asking for reviews of the podcast. While this is still important, my new call to action for listeners and readers is subscribe to the podcast in iTunes or Stitcher. A couple weeks ago I mentioned that I would have a drawing when I reached 100 subscribers. This isn’t an easy number to get at this point. Instead, my critical number will be when my episodes average 100 downloads. Right now, they’re at 51. When they hit an average of 200, I’ll have a drawing for a book on this topic.

If you’re already subscribed, thank you and share this with as many of your peers who you believe would benefit. If you’re not subscribed, I’ll provide a link in the show notes or you can go to http://inspiredandintentional.com/episode22 and you may click the link. This link will lead you to itunes where you can subscribe to the Inspired and Intentional Toddcast.
